North Canton Intermediate School

Welcome to North Canton Intermediate School! Thank you for checking out our school family. North Canton Intermediate (NCIS) is part of the North Canton City School District and currently serves about 1000 students in grades 3-5. We're extremely proud of our academic accomplishments (as recognized by the State of Ohio), but we are even more excited about the road ahead. We believe that all students have the ability to grow academically, socially, emotionally, and behaviorally as we try to instill a growth mindset in each child. We believe there is an extraordinary difference between NOT knowing and not knowing YET.

Our dedicated staff focuses on student-centered instruction and we are challenging the status quo of education. Why do things the way they've always been done? Let's worry less about test scores and more about providing teachers with the resources to reach ALL learners. We believe you can increase student potential through ingenuity, innovation, and an environment that promotes taking risks and seeking solutions. Our staff is not only focused on standards mastery, but we are providing experiences through flexible classroom design, STEM concepts, technology-based instruction, collaborative instructional planning, service-based community partnerships, and much more. An important message for our students is that comfort and growth never coexist!
